The new Hwy 220 bypass is open. Traffic in the town of Ellerbe, N.C. should be no problem. To get to the race
take any exit that comes to Ellerbe and turn at the stoplight west onto Page St. Follow Page St. about 2.2 miles
and it bears right becoming Grassy Island Rd. Continue another 3 1/2 miles on Grassy Island Rd. and you will
come to race headquarters-Bethel Baptist Church.
If you are coming from the west on US 74 do not come to Rockingham. Instead, turn left onto NC Highway 109 in
Wadesboro. Proceed several miles until you cross the Pee Dee River and take the next paved right onto
Grassy Island Road. Follow Grassy Island Rd. about 13 miles to race headquarters-Bethel Baptist Church.
Make sure and cross the river before turning. There is a Grassy Island Rd. before the river too and it will not
lead you to the race
Mapquest does not have an address for race headquarters. You can, however, click the link for the mapmyrun
course map on the information page and zoom out to see the race location. If you must use a mapping web site,
the only one that will get you close to the race is Google maps. The location "A" shown at the link is about 1/2
mile east of race headquarters.
